The Ferrers School Sixth Form

We are pleased to welcome you to The Ferrers School Sixth Form. As part of our Post 16 provision, students have an exciting, new, dedicated space to facilitate student’s learning, with access to their own IT room, classrooms, study rooms, common room, careers hub, amphitheatre and out-door green space. On top of this students have access to a sixth form specific library offering copies of the core text books for our courses as well as a range of fiction and non-fiction reading.

Anita’s Coffee Shop

We also have our own coffee shop for Sixth Form students only. Our in-house coffee shop sells a range of hot and cold treats and drinks and accepts both MCAS and card payments.

The Sixth Form Team/Life in the Sixth Form

The Sixth Form Team is an integral part of your life in the Sixth Form. These are the people who will support and guide you through your studies, as well as offer advice and guidance on your next steps after your Post-16 studies.

We offer a mentoring programme as part of our tutoring in the Sixth Form in which you will meet with your mentor to discuss your progress in your studies, tips on how to succeed as well as guidance for your future plans such as University, Apprenticeships or entering the Job Market.

This is equally supported through our core studies lessons in which our programme follows the values of Health, Wealth and Self. We offer you the opportunity to explore many key themes such as study skills, developing your competencies for next steps, careers guidance, budgeting and finance, mental wellbeing, driving safety and healthy relationships.
