Learning Resource Centre

The Ferrers School is fortunate to have a light and spacious Learning Resource Centre (LRC) staffed by Mrs Rogers. The LRC has over 7000 books as well as access to ebooks, laptops and ipads and board games.

Learning Resource Centre Catalogue – Oliver

All LRC resources are catalogued on ‘Oliver’, our library management system.  Students can access the catalogue in order to:

• See what books we have in stock
• Request a book
• Check what they have on loan and if necessary, renew their loans.
• Rate and review a book
• Discovering new books and authors via the various reading lists available.

Aspire Homework Club

Aspire Homework Club takes place every day between 2.55pm – 4:05pm. Students can drop in and complete homework before heading off home, making use of the resources and IT.

Community Leadership Programme

The LRC also offers volunteers a chance to gain valuable skills working alongside Mrs Rogers as part of the Community Leadership programme. If students are interested, please contact Mrs Rogers for further information.

Reading Recommendations

It is not always easy to know what to read next, but our librarian is on hand to help.  Mrs Rogers is always happy to help you discover your next great read, either by visiting the LRC or by completing this form.
