The Ferrers School Aspire, Achieve, Acclaim

    Bude Activity Residential

A group of 47 Year 9 and 10 students went on the annual multi-activity week to Bude, Cornwall over the May half term. The students had a fantastic time and took part in a variety of activities which included: canoeing, kayaking, surfing, bodyboarding, high ropes, abseiling, team trail, caving, mountain boarding, biking and dragon boating.

There were also a variety of evening activities and, over the duration of the week, our students won some fantastic awards consisting of; runners up in the 5-a-side football competition, winners of the karaoke competition, winners of the fancy dress and third place in the talent show.

There were 6 schools at the centre from across the country, making a total of 32 activity groups. The week culminated with one of our 5 activity groups winning the SUPERTEAM award and they thoroughly deserved it too. The students were a real credit to the school, parents, but more importantly, to themselves!  Congratulations to our SUPERTEAM WINNERS and individual award winners:

Rhys, Sophie, Zachery, Travis, Ethan, Kyle, Isabella and Katie.

    Joker of the week: Allan

    Bottle award: Asia

    Superstar: Jordan

The students thoroughly impressed the instructors and staff at the activity centre and represented our school very well. Both staff and students had a thoroughly enjoyable trip and are really looking forward to revisiting next year.

A huge thankyou to Miss Pinney, Miss McLellan, Mr Patel and Mr McKenzie for their hard work and for helping to make it such an excellent week for the students.

    Mrs Dean
