The Ferrers School Aspire, Achieve, Acclaim

Children’s author, Lawrence Prestidge, visits The Ferrers School

Year 7 enjoyed and exciting visit from author Lawrence Prestidge.  Here are some comments from our students.

“Lawrence Prestidge came into our school on Monday 6th November and once he started talking I was interested straight away! He started by talking about his first book, ‘Terror at the Sweet Shop,’ and coming soon is ‘Chester’s Fairground.’ He got his inspiration from Roald Dahl and towards the end we could ask our own questions and he answered all of them. I really enjoyed Lawrence coming to our school and I hope he does well in the future".

“On Monday, we had an exciting visit from Lawrence Prestidge which gave us the opportunity to listen to his stories and buy one of his books (‘Terror at the Sweet Shop’), which Lawrence had read an extract from during the assembly. As well as that, he spoke about who inspired him (like Roald Dahl) and what the life of an author is like. It was a really exciting assembly which has inspired me!”
