The Ferrers School Aspire, Achieve, Acclaim

    Head Boy

     Taylor Ormond

I am now coming into my seventh and final year at The Ferrers School and without a doubt this school has enabled me to become the person I am today.  It has given me opportunities to show-case my abilities both in sports and academically.   My first day still seems like yesterday: I remember the feeling of being awestruck as I entered the gates to - what seemed to me - such a massive school.

Little did I know at that time that I would go on to become the Head Boy.  Attaining this role is my biggest achievement and also probably the most challenging.  It gives me opportunities to face tasks that I would not face just attending school every day, such as event planning and participating in meetings to discuss a variety of topics.

Together with Maddie, my friend and the Head Girl, we want to continue to provide the friendly and supportive community we have around the school and to make everyone feel welcome.  By doing this, our fellow students will get the most out of being at The Ferrers School and they will succeed and be able to push themselves to do whatever they want in life as the opportunities will be endless.

I am looking forward to the coming year.  We want to give back to the school what it has given to us over the years and make a positive difference to everyone involved with the school.
